About the role
We’re hiring a Chief of Staff to act as a force multiplier to the CEO and leadership team. You’ll own cross-functional execution, keep the company operating at a high cadence, and lead priority projects across BD, partnerships, fundraising, product/ops, and people.
In this role, you will:
- Drive operating rhythm: Own OKRs, weekly exec cadence, and cross-team execution; anticipate blockers and keep priorities moving.
- Own special projects: Lead time-bound initiatives (e.g., BD pilots, platform partnerships, new process rollouts, fundraising workstreams) from scoping to measurable outcomes.
- Partner on BD & fundraising: Prepare materials, coordinate pipelines, manage diligence and follow-ups, and support negotiation prep with pharma/biotech partners and investors.
- Build scalable processes: Stand up lightweight systems for planning, reporting, vendor/legal coordination, and information flow across Science, Engineering, and BD.
- Create leverage for the CEO: Orchestrate pre-reads, briefings, and post-mortems; ensure decisions are documented and executed.
- Communications & insights: Craft board/investor updates, partner narratives, and internal memos; turn data into crisp recommendations.
Your background looks something like:
- 4+ years in high-accountability roles with clear ownership (e.g., CoS/Strategy & Ops, biotech BD/alliances, or top-tier consulting with meaningful operator experience).
- Demonstrated operational excellence in fast-moving, ambiguous environments; habit of turning strategy into shipped outcomes.
- Fluency in BD/process in biotech/consulting/consortia settings; comfort engaging with scientific and technical teams.
- Strong structured problem-solving, project management, and written storytelling; high integrity and discretion.
- Bonus: experience in venture-backed startups, MBA (INSEAD/IESE/etc.) or equivalent, familiarity with scientific/clinical concepts.
